Privacy policy
This page explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, who else can see it, and how to ask us to delete it. It covers this website only.
We do not use analytics, advertising trackers or tracking pixels of any kind. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone, and we do not send marketing messages to people who have not asked for them.
Who we are
This website is operated by شركة الوقاية القلبية للبحث والتطوير التجريبي, trading as QLPCO, based in Amman, Jordan.
For anything to do with your personal information, contact us at info@qlpco.net, or on WhatsApp at 0797607333.
What we collect, and when
We only collect information you type into a form yourself. There is no hidden collection and no account to create.
| Form | What it asks for |
|---|---|
| Contact | Your name, phone number, subject, and your message. Email is optional. |
| Training request | Organisation, phone number, number of people to train, preferred date and course language. Contact name, email and site address are optional. |
| Maintenance request | Organisation, phone number, device serial number and the problem. Contact name, email and notes are optional. |
| AED enquiry | Organisation, phone number, type of site and how many devices you need. Contact name, email, address and notes are optional. |
| Pre-order | Your name, phone number, delivery address and governorate, and a record of the terms you agreed to. Email is optional. |
Every form also carries a hidden field that people do not see and do not fill in. It exists to catch automated spam. If it is filled in, the submission is discarded.
Why we collect it
To reply to you, to quote for work, to arrange training or a service visit, and to fulfil an order you have placed. That is the whole purpose. Your phone number is there because it is how we will contact you — most enquiries here are answered by phone or WhatsApp rather than email.
Health information
The order form does not ask for any health information, and none is collected today.
The system does contain a separate, restricted store for health notes, left in place from an earlier version of the order form. It is empty and nothing writes to it. If we ever collect health information again, it stays in that separate store rather than on the order itself, only staff who have been granted specific permission can open it, and every single time one is opened the system records who opened it and when.
Your IP address
When you submit a form we count submissions against your IP address, so that one person or one bot cannot flood us with hundreds of requests. The count is held for one hour and then expires by itself. We do not build a profile from it, and we do not keep a log of visitors' IP addresses.
Cookies
This site sets three cookies. All three are necessary for it to work, none is used for advertising or analytics, and there is nothing to opt out of.
- A security cookie that protects forms against being submitted from another website on your behalf.
- A language cookie that remembers whether you chose Arabic or English.
- A session cookie, which is only set for staff signing in to the admin area.
Who else sees your information
Information you submit is stored on our own database and read by QLPCO staff. It is not shared with other companies for their own purposes. Three services are involved in running the site, and it is worth being specific about what each one can see:
- Our hosting provider stores the database and runs the website. They can technically access the server, as any host can.
- Our email provider carries the notification we send ourselves when you submit a form. That notification contains your name, phone number and email address.
- The map page loads map images from OpenStreetMap. Doing that reveals your IP address and the area of the map you are looking at to OpenStreetMap. This only happens on the map page.
If you tap the directions link on a device in the map, that opens Google Maps and hands the destination to Google. If you tap the WhatsApp link, that opens WhatsApp. Both are your choice, and neither happens unless you tap.
We will also hand over information if the law requires it of us.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and orders for as long as we are still dealing with you and for as long as we may need the record afterwards — for a service history, a warranty, or a tax or accounting obligation. We have not set a fixed deletion date, and we would rather say so plainly than publish a period we do not actually apply.
If you want your information removed sooner, ask us and we will delete it, unless we are legally required to keep it.
Your rights
Under Jordan's Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023 you can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete it;
- stop using it, and withdraw your consent.
Write to info@qlpco.net and we will respond. There is no charge, and you do not need to give a reason to ask for deletion.
Children
This site is meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us their details, tell us and we will delete them.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection, the database is not reachable from the public internet, and access to enquiries and orders requires a staff login. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise — but if information is ever exposed we will tell the people affected and the regulator, as the law requires.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
